Osaka beaten in the first round by Osorio at Indian Wells
Naomi Osaka, ranked 56th in the world, did not have the status of a seeded player and, consequently, had to play in the first round.
Unfortunately for her, she was eliminated by Camila Osorio with a score of 6-4, 6-4 in 1 hour and 32 minutes of play.

Very disappointed with this performance, the Japanese player posted on X after her defeat: "This is the worst match I have ever played in my life.
I am sorry for everyone who watched this."
On her part, Osorio becomes the first Colombian player to beat a former world number 1.
In a post-match interview, she reacted: "This is crazy for me. It's a dream come true."
The Colombian will face Clara Tauson in the next round.
