Osaka: "I'm a little sorry I didn't live the Games to the full".

Osaka: I'm a little sorry I didn't live the Games to the full.

Naomi Osaka has been back in action since January. A former world number 1, she is still in search of her best tennis, alternating between top performances and less accomplished matches.

Having taken part in her second Olympic Games after Tokyo 2021, Osaka was kind enough to look back on her experience at this event on the Paris clay court. Despite being beaten in the first round by Angelique Kerber, Osaka tried to put a positive spin on things, making no secret of the pleasure she felt at representing her nation.

Looking beyond sport, the current world no. 95 also reflected on life in the Olympic Village, which not all tennis players have been able to enjoy: "In Tokyo (in 2021), I was really stressed. In Paris, I felt much more at ease. And of course, there were spectators, so it was very different.

But I regret a little that I didn't fully experience the Games in the Olympic Village, and I hope to be able to play in Los Angeles (2028)."
