Osaka will play in Saint-Malo thanks to a wild-card

Naomi Osaka was eliminated early from the Madrid tournament by Lucia Bronzetti.

Seeking more playing time on clay, she has accepted a wild-card to compete in the WTA 125 event in Saint-Malo, which takes place next week.

The Japanese player is expected to be the No. 2 seed behind Alycia Parks and ahead of Varvara Gracheva.
