In the coming hours, the second round of the WTA 1000 in Wuhan continues with top players taking to the courts in the Chinese city.

This Wednesday, several matches will take place as part of the final WTA 1000 of the season. Making her big return to competition after missing the Beijing tournament, world number one and defending champion Aryna Sabalenka will make her debut and face Rebecca Sramkova on Center Court.

Before her, two other top 10 players will have played their matches: Jessica Pegula against Hailey Baptiste and Coco Gauff against Moyuka Uchijima. Starting at 1:00 PM French time, Jasmine Paolini will play against Yuan Yue, followed by the match of Elena Rybakina, who will face Jaqueline Cristian.

Thus, five players ranked in the WTA top 10 will take turns on the main court of the Chinese complex. On the other courts, there will be other exciting matchups, including Belinda Bencic vs. Elise Mertens, Naomi Osaka vs. Linda Noskova, and Sofia Kenin vs. Liudmila Samsonova.

Defeated in the qualifying rounds by Varvara Gracheva, Iva Jovic took advantage of Amanda Anisimova's withdrawal, who just won the title in Beijing, to enter the main draw as a lucky loser directly into the second round. She will face Jessica Bouzas Maneiro for a spot in the round of 16. Find the full schedule for the day in Wuhan below.

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

The finals are here, and we scramble for the best finish. I've been chasing "King" all year and I was able to shrink the spread a little. Skelp is also closing the gap.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?

Steffi Graf completed a Golden Slam (not just a career Grand Slam) when she was 19. She is the only person to accomplish that, winning the four majors plus Olympic gold the same calendar year.

What a finish this is.. I believe King has used his boost for today. Skelp is closing strong. Two wins and he claims 1st if I lose my last prediction.

Gonna be difficult with only 2 pointers to choose from.
