Paolini Clinches Third Round at Roland-Garros with Ease

The world No. 4 secured a straightforward victory against the qualifier (6-4, 6-1) in just 1 hour and 9 minutes. She continues her strong momentum after her title win in Rome. A finalist in Paris last year, the Italian has now notched her ninth consecutive win and has claimed victory in 9 of her last 10 matches at this Parisian tournament.

After a tightly contested opening match against China’s Yuan (6-1, 4-6, 6-3), she cruised through her next round against Tomljanovic (6-3, 6-3).

In the round of 16, she will face the winner of the match between Pera and Svitolina, which is scheduled as the final match on Court Simonne-Mathieu this Friday.
