Paolini parts ways with coach Renzo Furlan after ten years of collaboration

After a 2024 season that saw her establish herself among the world's best players and reach two Grand Slam finals (Roland-Garros followed by Wimbledon), Jasmine Paolini had started the year without significant results.
However, she found her rhythm in Miami by reaching the semifinals, where she was defeated by the eventual champion and world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka.
The Italian player announced on Monday the end of her collaboration with Renzo Furlan, her coach of ten years on the WTA tour:
"After ten incredible years together, I want to thank Renzo Furlan for everything he has done for me.
We shared a wonderful journey, unforgettable moments, like the finals at Roland-Garros and Wimbledon, and winning an Olympic gold medal (in doubles) in Paris. And even in 2025, we started strong.
Renzo has been a very important figure in my development as a player and as a person. Everything I learned from him will stay with me and continue to guide me in this new chapter. He will always remain an important person in my life.
I am truly grateful for the time, energy, and sacrifices he made for me, often away from his home and family.
I have immense respect and admiration for him—for his professionalism, passion, and the values he instilled in me over all these years.
Renzo, thank you for everything. I wish you all the best for the future!"
