Piatti Speaks on Sinner's Return to Competition: "He Has the Cards in Hand to Win Roland Garros, Wimbledon, and the US Open"
Once again cleared to train normally, Jannik Sinner was spotted this Thursday hitting balls with Jack Draper in Monte Carlo.
The world No. 1 will make his comeback at the Rome Masters 1000 in early May, an event eagerly awaited by many tennis fans.
Speaking to SuperTennisTV, his former coach Riccardo Piatti shared his thoughts on this return and the expectations surrounding the San Candido native for the rest of the season:
"This whole situation has been unpleasant for Sinner, but he will certainly turn it into something positive. I believe that, for the coming months, he has the cards in hand to win Roland Garros, Wimbledon, and the US Open.
I’m sure that, throughout all these months, he hasn’t stopped. The pandemic, for example, was one of the most important developmental periods for him. He was training physically three times a week and playing tennis every day."
