Purcell provisionally suspended for doping
A new doping case surfaces in professional tennis. Max Purcell, world no. 12 in doubles, ex-no. 40 in singles, has just begun serving a provisional suspension for doping.
The announcement was made by the International Tennis Integrity Agency. Few details have been announced as yet, we only know that a "prohibited method" was used and this has been admitted by Purcell himself.
This case joins those of Iga Swiatek and Jannik Sinner, and adds to the scandal surrounding doping in tennis.
