Raducanu Praises Draper: "It's Incredible to See What He's Achieved"

Jack Draper has had a highly successful start to the season. The British left-hander won the Indian Wells Masters 1000, defeating Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinals and Holger Rune in the final.
The 23-year-old then confirmed his form on clay, reaching the final in Madrid. Despite a strong performance, Draper ultimately fell in three sets to Casper Ruud but can take solace in having climbed to a career-high world No. 5 ranking after the tournament.
Emma Raducanu, who was in Rome after her second-round exit in Madrid against Marta Kostyuk, gave an interview to Sky Sports where she was asked about her compatriot's progress, both in terms of gameplay and results. Notably, Draper is currently second in the Race rankings, behind Alcaraz.
"It's incredible to see what he's achieved. Of course, Jack is an excellent tennis player. He has such a strong presence that he can dominate any opponent. Seeing him take control of matches the way he has lately is really impressive.
We're two completely different people. We each have our own paths. Right now, I'm just focusing on my comeback and working on what I can improve day by day. But huge credit to him—he's done an amazing job," she said.
