Roddick on Zverev: "It saddens me that some don't treat him as a top-level player"
On his podcast Served, Andy Roddick spoke about Alexander Zverev. Although world No. 3, the German had a rather mixed end to the season and has been the subject of much criticism.
For the American, some of it is unjustified. He states: "I'm a little disgusted. Listen, you may not be a fan of Sasha for various reasons and because of things that happened off the court, but some speakers on different podcasts treat him as if he's not a top-level player, and that... that saddens me.
He has 24 ATP titles, he has qualified for the ATP Finals every year for the last nine years when he hasn't been injured. Because Carlos and Jannik are so strong, we shouldn't treat the others as worthless. It's ridiculous."
