Roddick praises Djokovic: "He's reaching the Wimbledon final".
Andy Roddick is still firmly rooted in the world of tennis.
Indeed, the former world number 1 frequently gives his views on tennis news and is widely listened to.
While he pointed the finger at Novak Djokovic's tactical error in the Wimbledon final against Alcaraz, Roddick was also keen to pay tribute to the Serb.
Blown away by the Serb's capacity for remission, the American declared: "It's incredible that Novak has made it this far, to the Wimbledon final. He'd just come back from an operation, so he was out of shape, hadn't played much tennis and hadn't played a match.
And yet, he reached the Wimbledon final. He gave himself a chance on the court. Congratulations to him. Novak had no rehearsals, he was out of shape. All he was trying to do was get fit enough to play his first round and, after that, fit enough to play the second round, and so on."
