Roger-Vasselin and Nys Advance to Men's Doubles Semifinals at Roland Garros

Édouard Roger-Vasselin and Hugo Nys are now just two wins away from their first title together at Roland Garros.

The Frenchman and the Monegasque triumphed in three sets on Wednesday against the pair Arends/Johnson (6-4, 3-6, 6-2) in their quarterfinal match.

In the previous round, they had already claimed the scalp of the world No. 1 and defending champions Marcelo Arévalo and Mate Pavić. In tomorrow’s semifinal, they will face Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos.

At 41 years old and just one month after elbow surgery, Roger-Vasselin is aiming for his second title in the discipline at Roland Garros. He previously won the event in 2014 alongside Julien Benneteau.
