Roland-Garros 2024: Swiatek with Gauff, Sabalenka with Rybakina

Roland-Garros 2024: Swiatek with Gauff, Sabalenka with Rybakina
le 23/05/2024 à 14h13

This time, the participants in the French Open have been decided. With no surprises in store, it's going to be a tough road, and it's going to be the two most resilient players who get to take to the Philippe Chatrier on Saturday June 8 to battle it out for the supreme crown.

In the top half of the draw, Iga Swiatek has inherited a draw within her grasp and may not really be tested until the quarters, although she could face Naomi Osaka in the second round, in what would be a duel between two Grand Slam winners. Swiatek is likely to face some tough opponents at the end of the tournament, with matches against Collins, Gauff and Sabalenka or Rybakina.

In the bottom half of the draw, Aryna Sabalenka must not falter if she is to challenge Swiatek in the final for the third time this season. After a relatively quiet opening round, she could find herself up against Madison Keys, who is in fine form on ochre, in the Round of 16. Thereafter, in theory, she would have to beat Sakkari or Kasatkina, then Rybakina or Zheng, before potentially meeting the world number 1 in the final.

This year's Roland Garros promises to be another exciting one, with plenty of surprises in store to muddy the waters.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.

How about leavin...

It's a shame that so many matches are being canceled. TT ,you are destroying your game ,and thereby killing your app. I don't know how many matches others have had canceled , but I'm at 3 and it's only thursday.

As a long time player and lover of this game , I don't know how much of this I can tolerate. For example I waited hours last night for you to confirm my win and post my points. Every ot...

This week I have used all my formulas and best guesses to try to achieve the high score jimandlori958 set in our last competition. I am two games short because of cancelations and I need all wins to get there.

An impressive win.. Congrats to our winner this week, jimandlori958 and with a score that could not be caught or matched. I don't remember a 56 in a while with our group. Nice to see everyone using the 2 point predictions. Can't win without 'em.
