Rublev, Fils, Fritz: Friday, August 1st Schedule in Toronto

As part of the Toronto Masters 1000, the third-round matches continue this Friday. Last year's finalist in Canada, Andrey Rublev, will kick off the schedule on Center Court against Lorenzo Sonego at 6:30 p.m. (French time).

Following that, Frances Tiafoe will take on Aleksandar Vukic before the night session, which starts at 1 a.m. Second seed Taylor Fritz will compete for a spot in the round of 16 against Gabriel Diallo. Then, the match between Brandon Nakashima and Ben Shelton will close out the schedule on the main court of the Canadian complex.

On the Motorola Razr Grandstand Court, only three matches are scheduled, as Christopher O’Connell, suffering from an abdominal injury, was forced to withdraw before his match against fellow countryman Alex De Minaur.

Starting at 5 p.m., Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, who complained about the scheduling via a social media post, will open play against Jakub Mensik. Next, Arthur Fils will take the court against Jiri Lehecka.

Finally, with Christopher O’Connell’s withdrawal, there will be only one singles match in the evening session, featuring Flavio Cobolli against Fabian Marozsan. Find the full schedule for the day in Toronto below.
