Rune loses from the start in Buenos Aires
Holger Rune had decided to play in Buenos Aires to prepare for the French Open on clay.
Unfortunately for him, he didn't get much playing time.
The Dane lost to Mariano Navone 6-2, 7-6 in his first match. He failed to convert any of his five break points.
After the match, he justified his defeat on his social networks: "Looking back, I think it was too early to play after my flu last week.
My shoulder wasn't working and the whole body felt extremely vulnerable. I'm going to take the time to rest properly now.
When the body isn't there, the brain shuts down and I'm really sorry I couldn't give what I wanted on the court today. Sorry Argentina."
Navone will face Joao Fonseca this Friday for a place in the semi-finals.
