Ruud beats Rublev to reach the last four of the Masters!
Casper Ruud needed three sets (6-4, 5-7, 6-2) to beat Andrey Rublev in the final match of the group stages of the Masters.
The Norwegian needed just one set to advance to the semi-finals, a mission he accomplished after winning the first set in 45 minutes.
Although he conceded the second set after being broken at 6-5, Ruud quickly raised his game in the final set to win his second match in this edition of the Masters.
Tomorrow, he will play the third semi-final of his Masters career against tournament favorite Jannik Sinner. An unexpected result for Ruud, who hadn't beaten a Top 10 player since April before the start of the event.
