Ruud: "What's the point?"

Ruud: What's the point?

Casper Ruud is one of the most discreet players on the ATP circuit.

Perhaps that's what gives most of his statements even more weight.

Questioned in a press conference, the Norwegian commented on the criticism levelled by some players at the quality of their balls.

According to him, these players are a little inconsistent, as they have plenty of time to adapt: "You see players all the time complaining about the balls and saying: 'oh, I feel my elbow... I feel this, that. I can't produce any power.'

Just play. The funny thing for me is that some players come 5 days in advance to train.

And I do it myself most of the time, unless you're moving from tournament to tournament. They string 28 rackets to get the right tension.

Then they get to the 4th round and start complaining about the balls. But they've been playing the same balls for 9 days. What's the point of telling the umpire now?

What's he going to change? Yeah, I'm going to call Dunlop and ask them to send you some new balls. What's the point?

Just making a big deal out of nothing?"

Hello I'm new

6j

I am surprised about relatively low attendance at Roland Garros which was the most popular slam 20+ years ago. I myself love it as well as really loving aus and us opens. I don't care about Wimbledon, sometimes maybe I can watch women's tennis. I hate Wimbledon's white dress code, I feel like I am watching junior tennis...I watched very few matches like Graf davenport final in 1999 the last time.....
