A superb clash of styles. Badly beaten and unable to find the time to organize her tennis, Elena Rybakina found the resources to reverse the situation in the Roland Garros quarter-final that currently pits her against Jasmine Paolini.
Trailing by a set and a break (2-6, 1-2), the world No.4 managed to raise her game, going even more on the offensive to protect herself from the repeated moves imposed by the Italian, as soon as she wasn't caught off guard or the points lasted more than a few strokes.
The Kazakh first came back to score, then managed to make the break at the best moment (5-4) to equalize at one set all (6-4). It's now a high-pressure 3rd set that will decide the match between the two women on Court Philippe Chatrier.
