Rybakina qualifies for Doha quarter-finals and awaits Swiatek

Elena Rybakina faced Rebecca Sramkova in the last 16 of the WTA 1000 tournament in Doha.

After a hard-fought first set, which she won in a tie-break, the Kazakh was able to roll on in the second set to win 6-2.

A finalist at the 2024 event, Rybakina is playing for big things in Doha.

In the quarter-finals, she will face the winner of the match between Iga Swiatek and Linda Noskova. A potential clash between the Kazakh and the Pole, which would be a good test for both players.
