Sabalenka believes she deserves more money at Grand Slams: "We are the ones who provide the show"
Aryna Sabalenka held a press conference in Stuttgart. Although she will only play on Saturday due to Anastasia Potapova's withdrawal, the Belarusian spoke with the journalists present.
She answered a question about Grand Slam prize money. She said: "I think we deserve a bigger percentage. I think that we, the players, provide the show.
We deserve to be paid a little better. I think if we compare tennis with other sports, there is a big difference between the percentage we receive compared to the NHL, the NBA, and other sports.
It’s an individual sport, I won’t go too far because you can’t compare sports, but I would say we deserve a better percentage at Grand Slams. Well, in all tournaments."
