Aryna Sabalenka came from behind to defeat Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 in 1h55 of play.
The Belarusian didn't play her best tennis, but came through and remains in contention to defend her title.
Sabalenka remains on an impressive 19-match winning streak at the Australian Open. In the semi-finals, she will face Paula Badosa, who eliminated Cori Gauff earlier in the day.
