Sabalenka in trouble against Andreeva in French Open quarter-finals!
A decisive 3rd set will now make the difference between Aryna Sabalenka and Mirra Andreeva in the French Open quarter-finals. The world n°2 got off to a better start (7-6) but seemed to be suffering physically almost from the start of the match. Struggling to catch her breath after some hard-fought points, she called in the doctor to try and regain her best form.
On the other side of the net, the 17-year-old Russian also contributed greatly to the Belarusian's advanced fatigue. A marvellous defender, she put up a physical fight at all times. So much so that she finally found the solution to level the score at one set apiece (6-7, 6-4).
The end of the match promises to be particularly indecisive.
