Sabalenka on her losses in Stuttgart: "When you lose three times in a final, it becomes very important to win, even an obsession"

After her victory against Jasmine Paolini and her qualification for the Stuttgart tournament final, Aryna Sabalenka spoke about her three lost finals here in 2021, 2022, and 2023, as well as her desire for revenge on this very stage.
"The fact that this is my fourth final here is not a source of pressure. We always face pressure, but I don’t pay attention to it because I believe pressure is a privilege.
I want this title more than anything. You know, when you lose three times in a final, I think it becomes very important for you to win—even an obsession.
This is a very important final for me, and I’ll make sure to bring my best game tomorrow."
To try and claim her first title in Stuttgart, Sabalenka will face Jelena Ostapenko this Monday at 1 p.m. local time.
