Sabalenka strolls again

Having arrived in New York as a title favorite, the world No.2 doesn't seem to be suffering from the pressure.

Already an easy winner over Hon in the first round (6-3, 6-3), the Belarusian took things up a notch again on Wednesday, defeating Bronzetti in just 59 minutes (6-3, 6-1).

Sabalenka showed no mercy against an opponent very much her own equal, not conceding a single break point and suffocating an Italian without a solution.

The 28-year-old once again outclassed her opponent, hitting the ball hard (25 winners) and serving perfectly (5 aces, 78% of points won on first serve).

For a place in the last 16, she will face the winner of the match between Jovic and Alexandrova.
