Sabalenka to Pegula during her speech: "If there’s anyone I could share the trophy, prize money, and points with, it would be you."

Winner of the WTA 1000 in Miami this Saturday against Jessica Pegula (7-5, 6-2), Aryna Sabalenka confirmed that she is more than ever the boss of the women's tour.
Always smiling and full of humor, the world No. 1 had kind words for Pegula, whom she defeated for the third time in her career in a tournament final:
"First of all, I’m really sorry, Jess. If there’s anyone I could share the trophy, prize money, and points with, it would be you. I’m still sorry, but you’re an incredible player.
You always push me to play my best tennis. You’re a great player. Congratulations to your team and for these past few weeks. I always love playing against you—we always have big battles and a high level of tennis.
Keep going like this, and I’m sure we’ll play more finals. As for the result, I don’t know (laughs). Because I don’t want to lose in the final. I know it sucks. [...] Wow, that was long (laughs). You can see how much I appreciate her. [...]
Luckily, the rain stopped—I felt like Miami was crying because I won. Thank you to the sponsors, thank you to James (Blake) for handling everything in the best way possible during this tournament.
I don’t remember all the names of my team members (smiles), but thank you to them for everything they do. You’re not just my team, you’re my family.
We spend 24/7 together. I’m not an easy person, but I try my best. I love you all so much."
