Sascha Bajin becomes Donna Vekic's new coach

With just a few weeks to go before the start of the 2025 tennis season, some tour players are putting the finishing touches to their teams.

Such is the case for Donna Vekic. The Croatian, back in the limelight and silver medallist in singles at the last Olympic Games in recent months, has announced the identity of her future coach.

The 28-year-old will now be coached by Sascha Bajin, who has worked with Naomi Osaka, Kristina Mladenovic, Karolina Pliskova and Dayana Yastremska.

The Wimbledon 2024 semi-finalist announced the end of her collaboration with Nikola Horvat at the end of November, and will now begin a new adventure with the 40-year-old German.

In recent weeks, Vekic, who has enjoyed a good season, has been rewarded with a career-high ranking of 18th on the WTA.
