Serena Williams on Her Retirement: I Miss Tennis with All My Heart

During an interview with the American magazine *Time*, Serena Williams discussed her retirement and her health, having played her final professional match on September 3, 2022, at the US Open.

"I miss tennis terribly, with all my heart. I miss it because I’m healthy. If I couldn’t walk or if I were very weak, I wouldn’t miss it as much.

I think I’m healthy because I didn’t overdo it. Another reason I had to move on to the next chapter was my desire to have more children. And I look at Adira (her second daughter) and wonder if it was worth it.

I was actually thinking about that the other day. And I told myself, yes, it was worth it."
