Shanghai Masters 1000: Favorable Draw for Alcaraz, Mannarino-Berrettini in First Round

The Shanghai Masters 1000, taking place from October 1st to 12th, has revealed its draw. World number one Carlos Alcaraz has been relatively spared.

The Spaniard could potentially face Daniil Medvedev or Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the round of 16, before taking on Alex de Minaur or Karen Khachanov in the quarterfinals, then Alexander Zverev or Lorenzo Musetti in the semifinals, and finally Jannik Sinner, Taylor Fritz, or Novak Djokovic in the final.

For Sinner, he could face Tomas Machac or Alexander Bublik in the round of 16, then Fritz or Holger Rune in the quarterfinals, before potentially facing Djokovic or Ben Shelton and meeting his great rival in the final.

On the French side, Arthur Cazaux will play against Pedro Martinez, Térence Atmane against Camilo Ugo Carabelli, Arthur Rinderknech against Hamad Medjedovic, Alexandre Müller against David Goffin, Adrian Mannarino against Matteo Berrettini, and Corentin Moutet against Marin Cilic before potentially facing Djokovic in the second round.
