Shapovalov compares Federer and Nadal: "Federer can totally make you feel like a junior, whereas Nadal, you know exactly what he's going to do."
Back from injury this season, Denis Shapovalov has had a tricky but promising year, crowned by a title in Belgrade at the very end of the season.
As he enjoys a well-deserved break and looks forward to rising to even greater heights in 2025, the Canadian was keen to talk about the difference between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
In a statement relayed by Sportskeeda, he said: "Federer can make you feel like a junior. Because I played against him in the semi-finals in Miami. I've beaten good players, I've beaten Rublev, I've beaten Tiafoe on the way.
I beat other players and I felt like a junior on the court. It was crazy. Against Rafa, it was very different, because I found him predictable. In fact, you know exactly what he's going to do, but he's so good you can't do anything (laughs)."
