Sharapova to be inducted into the Tennis Hall of Fame!
The Newport Tennis Hall of Fame today announced the induction of Maria Sharapova and also the Bryan brothers into the Class of 2025.
The Russian won 36 titles during her career, including five Grand Slams. She is also one of only ten players to have won all four major tournaments at least once.
Sharapova was quick to react to the news: "When you retire, you don't really think about the past, because life comes with other responsibilities. This is incredible recognition. Thank you to the Hall of Fame and to the voters."
The Tennis Hall of Fame has revealed that brothers Bob and Mike Bryan (119 doubles titles, including 16 Grand Slam titles) will also be inducted in this class.
The ceremonial weekend will take place from August 21 to 23, 2025.
