"She really needs to take control of her life," Navratilova shares her thoughts on Raducanu's situation

Asked by Sky Sports, tennis legend Navratilova spoke about the pressure British player Raducanu is facing. According to her, the 22-year-old player must truly structure herself and surround herself with competent people for the long term.
"If you like the person and know what they can bring to your game, then you really need to commit and stick to what they tell you. You must make sure you’re doing your part in terms of training, physical work, and even nutrition. Emma has the talent, and she played well against Sabalenka. I think she’s heading in the right direction now.
However, she needs to stay with someone longer because it always takes time to integrate new information into your game and see results. When you start a new training program, you don’t immediately become faster or stronger. I think she really needs to take control of her life and ensure she’s the one making all the decisions."
For context, Raducanu has frequently changed coaches since her 2021 US Open title. While her collaboration with Mark Petchey seemed to be working well, he likely won’t stay for long since he also holds a consultant role at Tennis Channel.
