Shnaider, Doubles Champion in Miami with Andreeva: "Mirra Stops Me from Being Too Negative on the Court"

Diana Shnaider and Mirra Andreeva won the WTA 1000 in Miami yesterday against the pair Bucsa/Kato (6-3, 6-7, 10-2).
The two players had decided during the winter to team up in doubles for this season’s biggest tournaments.
After three months of competing together, they now rank 2nd in the Race, with a title in Brisbane, two semifinals at the Australian Open and Doha, and now a crown yesterday in Florida.
During the press conference, Shnaider spoke about her chemistry with Andreeva, who has also become a true star in singles:
"I think we’re similar. Whether we play doubles or singles, we always give our best. Emotionally, it’s easier for me to play doubles. I have a partner who stops me from being too negative on the court.
In singles, there are matches where I’m too hard on myself and I get stuck on the mistakes I make. Everyone makes mistakes, but I dwell on them, get frustrated, and end up making even more because of it.
In doubles, I have Mirra by my side, supporting me. I don’t get upset over my errors, and I play much more relaxed than in singles."
