Since 2018, Medvedev has won 60 more matches than any other player on hard court
Since 2018, Daniil Medvedev has won 296 matches on the ATP Tour on hard court. A simply phenomenal number. For comparison, no other player has surpassed the 240-win mark during the same period. That's at least 60 more wins than any of his competitors.
Moreover, in ATP Masters 1000 tournaments on hard court, Medvedev boasts a win rate of 69.5% (89 wins to 39 losses). Among active players who have played at least 25 matches, only three rank ahead of him: Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner, and Carlos Alcaraz. Just that.
But be careful: neither Sinner nor Alcaraz have played as many matches at this level yet. The direct comparison therefore still leans in favor of the Russian, at least over the long term.
At 29 years old, Medvedev seems to be gradually regaining his form. As the end of the year approaches with the Rolex Paris Masters and the ATP Finals, Medvedev hopes to salvage what has been a disastrous year so far.
