Sinner Absent from US Open Practice on the Eve of Final Against Alcaraz
Jannik Sinner will compete tomorrow at the US Open in his fifth consecutive Grand Slam final and the third in a row against Carlos Alcaraz.
A final that will determine the world No. 1 ranking, but which would also allow Sinner, in case of victory, to be the first player to defend his title in New York since Roger Federer in 2008.
On the eve of this highly anticipated final, the Italian did not appear on the day's practice schedule at the Flushing Meadows site. Rumors are circulating regarding this absence, ranging from the choice to train indoors in case of a closed roof tomorrow at Arthur Ashe Stadium, to prioritizing rest time due to abdominal discomfort.
For his part, Carlos Alcaraz completed his final practice session of the fortnight earlier in the day.
