Sinner for a Spot in the Semifinals, Paolini, Gauff: Thursday’s Schedule in Rome
The organizers of the Rome Masters 1000 have revealed the schedule for May 15, 2025.
Hurkacz will open the day’s play against 11th seed Tommy Paul on Center Court starting at 1 p.m., followed by the match between world No. 5 Paolini and Stearns to close the day session. The local favorite will aim for her 9th win in eleven clay-court matches this season.
Sinner, in his first quarterfinal since returning from suspension, will face clay-court specialist Ruud starting at 7 p.m. The Italian leads their head-to-head against the Norwegian with 3 wins and no losses. Their most recent meeting was in the semifinals of the ATP Finals in Turin on November 16, 2024. Meanwhile, Gauff will take on the winner of the Sabalenka vs. Zheng match, which will be the final match of the day on that court.
On the SuperTennis Arena, spectators can enjoy four doubles matches. The pair Eikeri-Hozumi will face the Australian duo Hunter-Perez, while Spain’s Granollers, partnering Argentina’s Zeballos, will take on the British pair Salisbury and Skupski.
