Sinner new world No. 2 ahead of Alcaraz!

Jannik Sinner won the 2024 edition of the Miami Masters 1000 on Sunday. He clearly dominated Grigor Dimitrov in the final, winning 6-3, 6-1 in 1 hour and 12 minutes. A title, his 2nd in this category, which will enable the Italian to reach the highest ranking of his career when officially published on Monday (see TennisTemple Live Rankings).

Sinner will thus overtake Carlos Alcaraz to become world No. 2. He will then be just 65 points ahead of the Spaniard, but only 1015 points behind Novak Djokovic's world No. 1 ranking. A configuration that should provide us with some exciting months ahead on clay.
