Sinner on the Tour's Support During His Suspension: "At First, I Received Surprising Messages from Some Players"
Jannik Sinner will make his return to the Tour by facing Mariano Navone or Federico Cina in his opening match in Rome.
With his suspension ending yesterday, the world No. 1 faced the press on Monday, answering various questions about his comeback as well as this period that kept him away from the tennis courts. He briefly mentioned the exchanges he had with some of his colleagues:
"I didn’t talk much during this suspension. I spoke with Jack (Draper). We trained together, and we’re very good friends. Then, 'Sonny' (nickname for Lorenzo Sonego) came along, and we felt really good.
At the start of the suspension, I received surprising messages from some players. And while I expected something from certain people, I got nothing."
