Sinner overcomes Lehecka to reach Beijing semi-finals
Jannik Sinner continues on her way.
Without necessarily playing his best tennis, the world No. 1 continues to hold his own and will indeed be in the semi-finals in China.
Up against the ever-promising Jiri Lehecka, Sinner held off the Czech's repeated assaults to avoid a trap match.
Largely dominant in the first act, he then kept his nerve when his opponent seriously raised his game.
Qualified after almost two hours (6-2, 7-6), Sinner will now set his sights on another ATP final.
To do so, he will have to master Yunchaokete Bu, the tournament's real sensation.
