Sinner Surpasses Kuerten in Weeks as World No. 1
Jannik Sinner will return to competition in just one month at the Rome Masters 1000. Meanwhile, the Australian Open champion continues to watch his rivals battle it out while he remains comfortably seated as the world No. 1.
He has just reached his 44th week atop the ATP rankings, surpassing Gustavo Kuerten’s 43 weeks. Sinner is now the 13th player in men’s tennis history with the most weeks as world No. 1.
If he aims to overtake Jim Courier, who holds 58 weeks at the 12th spot on this list, he will now have to wait another three and a half months.
