Stats: Alcaraz Still Undefeated Against Younger Players

Winner over Medjedovic in the third round of Cincinnati (6-4, 6-4), Alcaraz continues his run in this final Masters 1000 before the US Open.
While this victory against the Serbian marked the Spaniard’s 50th win of the season, it was also his 10th against a player younger than him (Medjedovic was born on July 18, 2003, and Alcaraz on May 5, 2003). The native of El Palmar thus remains undefeated against this category of opponents, having only conceded two sets.
Among the players he has faced are Mpetshi Perricard, Arthur Fils, and Ethan Quinn.
For a spot in the quarterfinals, Alcaraz will face Italy’s Nardi. The two players have only met once on the tour, in the second round of Doha earlier this year. The five-time Grand Slam champion emerged victorious from that duel (6-1, 4-6, 6-3).
