Stats: Atmane, the Biggest Jump for a French Player Upon Entering the Top 100
After his sensational run in Cincinnati (semifinals), Terence Atmane unfortunately withdrew from the US Open due to foot and hip injuries.
Although he chose not to take any risks despite his current form, the French player will make his return in a few weeks at the ATP 250 tournament in Chengdu, China (September 17-23).
In the meantime, the native of Boulogne-sur-Mer can take comfort in an impressive statistic. According to the X account, Jeu, Set et Maths, Atmane has the biggest jump for a French player at the time of making his very first entry into the Top 100 (since 1990).
With a gain of 67 places, he surpasses Guillaume Raoux (+53), Jérémy Chardy (+51), Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (+51), Arthur Fils (+49), and Pierre-Hugues Herbert (+48).
