US Open Qualifiers: Herbert Eliminated, Ponchet and Droguet Advance
This Monday marked the conclusion of the first round of the US Open qualifiers. On the men's side, Kyrian Jacquet and Titouan Droguet qualified, defeating Liam Draxl and Alibek Kachmazov (retirement) respectively.
Pierre-Hugues Herbert, however, fell in three sets to Henrique Rocha. Luka Pavlovic was defeated by Leandro Riedi, as was Arthur Bouquier by Zsombor Piros.
On the women's side, Jessika Ponchet triumphed over Elizabeth Mandlik with a score of 6-4, 6-2. Tiantsoa Rakotomanga Rajaonah, meanwhile, lost to Guiomar Maristany Zuleta De Reales.
