Stats - Denolly Becomes the 5th Oldest Frenchman to Win His First ATP Tour Match
At 27 years and 298 days old, Corentin Denolly has spent most of his career on the secondary circuit.
However, after fighting through the qualifiers at the ATP 250 in Houston, he cleared the first round of the main draw this Tuesday against Brandon Holt.
This achievement makes him the 5th oldest French player to win his first ATP Tour match (statistic shared by the X account *Jeu, Set et Maths*).
The oldest player is Nicolas Renavand, who secured his first victory in Metz in September 2011 against Tobias Kamke at 29 years and 86 days old.
The second oldest is Gleb Sakharov, who won his first ATP Tour match in Gstaad against Antoine Bellier in July 2017 at the age of 29 years and 44 days.
