For several years, Fritz has been one of the most reliable players in terms of consistency on the ATP Tour. A champion at Indian Wells in 2022, a finalist at the most recent US Open, and a recent semifinalist at Wimbledon, the American seems to be climbing the ranks step by step.
This is further evidenced by a statistic shared by journalist Mario Boccardi. His post highlights the ranking of players with the most semifinals on the ATP Tour since 2023.
Spain’s Alcaraz leads the list (27), followed by world No. 1 Sinner (26), three-time Grand Slam finalist Zverev (23), 2021 US Open champion and former world No. 1 Medvedev (21), and the all-time Grand Slam record holder Djokovic (20). While all these athletes are part of tennis’ global elite, they have recently been joined by the 27-year-old American.
Indeed, after reaching the semifinals in Toronto, Fritz has now hit the mark of 20 semifinals on the tour since 2023. This significant number cements his status as one of the toughest opponents to face on the circuit.
