Stats - Sinner in a very tight circle on breakpoints conceded in Grand Slam finals

Jannik Sinner managed to retain her title at the Australian Open.

The Italian, world No.1, outclassed Alexander Zverev (6-3, 7-6, 6-3), despite being runner-up in the ATP rankings.

In a match he dominated overall, Sinner won his third Grand Slam title, after the Australian Open 2024 and the US Open 2024.

Unusually, the world No. 1 did not concede a single break point in the final to win the title.

Since 1991, only three players before him had achieved this feat in a Grand Slam. They were Pete Sampras against Boris Becker at Wimbledon in 1995, Roger Federer against Mark Philippoussis at Wimbledon in 2003 and Rafael Nadal against Kevin Anderson at the US Open in 2017.

For his part, Sinner had 10 break points. He converted two of them, which was enough to win the match in three sets.
