Jannik Sinner was too strong for Alexander Zverev in Melbourne on Sunday.
The Italian won 6-3, 7-6, 6-3 in a match that didn't live up to all its promise, thanks to Zverev's inability to raise his game.
Worse still, the German didn't manage a single break point.
Still in search of his first Grand Slam, Zverev will have to work hard to catch up with the others.
His serve was the only thing that kept him going in this match, as evidenced by his 24 unforced errors on the forehand alone.
Sinner has won his first three Grand Slam finals, while Zverev has lost all three.
The Italian is also the first player since the creation of the ATP rankings to win ten consecutive matches against the top 10 without dropping a set.
