Stats - With 40 weeks as world number 1, Sinner equals Nastase

While Jannik Sinner is suspended for doping and his return is expected in May at the Masters 1000 in Rome, he remains the world number 1.

This Monday marks his 40th week as world number 1, making him the 15th player with the most weeks in this position.

He equals Ilie Nastase and places just behind Andy Murray at 41 and Gustavo Kuerten at 43.

It remains to be seen whether Carlos Alcaraz or Alexander Zverev will be able to take this position from him, in a season where the Italian will miss three months of competition.
