Stuck in my mistakes": Swiatek explains her Beijing collapse

The Beijing nightmare: Swiatek, overwhelmed in the final set, admits she mentally collapsed against Navarro despite an encouraging second set.
A surprising elimination in the Chinese capital. Iga Swiatek, world No. 2, fell in the round of 16 of this WTA 1000 tournament against Emma Navarro after suffering a crushing 6-0 in the decisive set (6-4, 4-6, 6-0).
Facing journalists, the Wimbledon champion admitted falling back into her old habits in the final set:
"I'm not injured (in response to the journalist's question). I just played poorly today. I managed to work on my mistakes in the second set. But in the third set, those mistakes from the beginning of the match came back.
I wasn't able to fix the shots I wasn't executing well. I more or less knew what I was doing wrong. I don't know, I feel like I was stuck in that bad way of doing things rather than solving them.
So yes, I was a bit more nervous because of that and there were maybe a bit too many emotions too. I'll try to stay calm next time. That will free up space in my head to solve these problems. Honestly, I felt like nothing was working. That's why I became more and more nervous.
