Svitolina First to Qualify at Wimbledon 2025

Svitolina showed no nerves as she defeated Hungary’s Bondar (6-3, 6-1) in just over an hour of play. Seeded 14th, the Ukrainian has made a strong start to her London Grand Slam campaign.

Throughout the match, the 30-year-old maintained a solid first-serve percentage (79%), including four love games.

A two-time finalist at the tournament, Svitolina secured her 31st win of 2025, her second on grass. This also marks her 22nd consecutive victory in the first round of a Grand Slam.

For a spot in the third round, she will face the winner of the match between Gracheva (92nd) and Sasnovich (107th), scheduled for Monday in the second rotation on Court No. 6.
