Swiatek Again Swift in Seoul: World No. 2 Opens Doors to the Final

After a convincing win earlier in the day, Iga Swiatek continued her momentum in the semifinals of the WTA 500 in Seoul, crushing Maya Joint in just under an hour of play.
Just hours after her quarterfinal success against Barbora Krejcikova (6-0, 6-3) earlier this Saturday, Iga Swiatek was back on the court at the WTA 500 tournament in Seoul to compete in her semifinal against Maya Joint, who had easily defeated Clara Tauson in the previous round.
The Pole, the only top 10 player present in the South Korean capital, is the favorite in this tournament and confirmed this status against the Australian. In just 1 hour and 2 minutes of play, the world No. 2, who faced no difficulties in this match, completed the affair conceding one less game than against Krejcikova.
In the end, Swiatek won (6-0, 6-2) and reached her fifth final of the season. After her titles at Wimbledon and Cincinnati as well as her defeats in Bad Homburg and the United Cup with her country, the 24-year-old player will seek to win her 25th career title.
To achieve this, she will need to overcome Katerina Siniakova or Ekaterina Alexandrova (the second seed of this Seoul tournament), who will face off in the second semifinal of the day.
